Dad's Baked Beans image

This is my husband's own recipe for doctoring up baked beans. It's got a wonderful flavor.

Number Of Ingredients 6

12 oz can bush baked beans
1/2 small yellow onion, minced
4 slice maple bacon, diced
2 Tbsp black coffee
1/2 tsp chili powder
4 Tbsp brown sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Cook bacon half way through; add onion and 2 tablespoons of the brown sugar and the chili powder. Add the bacon and onion mixture to the baked beans and heat until bubbly. Add the coffee and remaining brown sugar.
