1 T. freshly grated ginger
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 cup sour cream

Dressing Preparation: Combine sugar, salt, mustard and vinegar to a saucepan and boil to dissolve sugar. Cool. Add the onion juice and oil slowly and whisk until well blended. Stir in poppy seeds. Makes 1 1/2 cups. Tear or cut romaine into bite size pieces and put on plate. Put a scoop of chicken salad in the middle of the lettuce and drizzle with the poppy seed dressing.

I found the curry powder to be a bit overpowering. I think I'll try using less next time.

This recipe is a bit too complicated for my taste. I prefer simpler salads.

I'm not sure what went wrong, but my salad turned out bland and watery. I think I might have used too much mayonnaise.
