Cry Baby Cookies Recipe - (5/5) image

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 c. plus 2 tbsp. shortening
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. sugar
1 c. molasses
2 eggs, well beaten
4 3/4 c. flour, sifted
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. soda
2 c. coconut
2 c. chopped nuts
1 1/2 c. raisins
1 c. milk

Steps:

  • Cream shortening. Add sugar, molasses and eggs. Sift flour, baking powder, salt, and soda. Combine with coconut, walnuts, and raisins. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Drop by tablespoons on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 - 10 minutes. Makes 9 1/2 dozen.
