Crunchy French Toast image

Ok I adopted this recipe and I have made it my own with a couple of changes. This used to call for coconut and corflakes, I omitted the coconut because it burned on me very quick. I also changed the bread from white to wheat, substituted the cornflakes for Kellogs honey and oats corflakes. Added confectioners sugar and Vanilla. I...

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 egg
1/3 c coconut milk ( you can also use vanilla soy milk) for you that can't tolerate dairy.
2 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/3 c crushed cornflakes (i used kellogs honey and oats)
3 Tbsp butter, you will need more than this (just keep adding as needed)
4 slice wheat bread
1 tsp vanilla
2 Tbsp confectioners' sugar set aside( aas much as you need)

Steps:

  • 1. Blend egg, milk, Vanilla, sugar and cinnamon.
  • 2. Dip bread in egg mixture, then in corn flakes
  • 3. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • 4. Brown in skillet until light golden on both sides, turning once.
  • 5. Serve with maple syrup and a touch of Confectioners sugar.
