1/2 lb ground beef, browned and drained
2 tablespoons bacon bits
1 small onion, chopped
15 ounces tomato sauce
4 ounces water
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
salt and pepper
2/3 cup long grain rice
8 ounces whole kernel corn, drained
4 ounces chopped green bell peppers

Steps:

  • Place beef in bottom of crock pot.
  • Top with bacon bits and onion.
  • Combine the tomato sauce, water, chili powder, salt and pepper.
  • Pour half of the mixture over the ingredients in crock pot.
  • Sprinkle rice over top.
  • Add in the corn and green pepper.
  • Pour remaining tomato mixture over top.
  • Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until rice is done.
