- Combine beef, onions, salt, pepper, breadcrumbs, egg, and tomato juice. Place 1/3 of mixture in slow cooker.
- Spread with one 1/3 of mashed potatoes and 3 slices cheese.
- Repeat 2 times.
- Cover. Cook on low 3 hours.
