Creole Cabbage image

This recipe showed up on Facebook. My patient's mother, Donna Burke, told me that it was delicious and she was right. I made this and my daughter who does not eat cabbage loved it.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 stick butter
1 small head of cabbage, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
1 lb smoke sausage, sliced into thin rounds
1 can(s) rotel tomatoes
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Melt butter in a large skillet. Add cabbage, onion, and cook on medium high for about 5 minutes stirring to keep from sticking to pan. Add remaining ingredients; cover and simmer for 20 - 25 minutes.
