Often the simple recipes passed down thru generations remain the best. This is a perfect example. I hope you will enjoy this simply lovely dish. We enjoy it served over buttery, garlic mashed potatoes.

I love this recipe because it's so versatile. I've made it with different types of cheese, different herbs, and even different vegetables. It's always delicious. I also like that it's a relatively quick and easy recipe to make.

This recipe is a great way to showcase the delicate flavor of leeks. The creamy sauce is the perfect complement to the leeks and the Gruyère cheese adds a nice touch of richness. I served it over rice and it was a delicious and satisfying meal.
