This salad is also a great make-ahead dish. You can make it up to 24 hours ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator. Just be sure to give it a good stir before serving.

I'm not a big fan of whipped topping, so I usually substitute Greek yogurt or sour cream. It still gives the salad a creamy texture, but it's a bit lighter.

This salad is also a great way to use up leftover pineapple. Just chop up the pineapple and add it to the salad. You can also use canned pineapple, but be sure to drain it well before adding it to the salad.

I like to add a little bit of chopped walnuts or pecans to this salad for a crunchy texture. You could also add some shredded coconut or dried cherries.

I'm a fan of using fresh cranberries in this salad, but frozen cranberries work just as well. If you're using frozen cranberries, be sure to thaw them before adding them to the salad.

I love that this salad can be made ahead of time, making it perfect for busy weeknights. I usually make it the night before and then just grab it out of the fridge when I'm ready to serve.

I'm not usually a fan of fruit salads, but this one changed my mind. The addition of cream cheese and pineapple made it creamy and tangy, while still being light and refreshing.

This salad was a refreshing and delicious side dish that was a hit at my potluck. The combination of sweet pineapple, tart cranberries, and creamy whipped topping was a perfect balance of flavors.
