This is a wonderful drink for any time! The slight tartness from the Cranberry Juice do not take over, but it balances nicely with the Raspberries. Run out of Cranberry Juice? No problem! If you have leftover jelled cranberries, add a spoon or two to water to make your own.

Time 5m

Number Of Ingredients 8

1/2 c cranberry juice
1/2 c milk (so milk is good for this, vanilla flavored)
1/2 c frozen raspberries
1/2 c vanilla or plain yogurt
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
4 ice cubes
1 splenda packet
1 Tbsp flax or wheat germ (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Place all ingredients into blender and pulse a few times to break up the ice, then blend to desired consistency (about 30 seconds) and enjoy.
  • 2. Note: This is a thinner drink and smaller than I normally make them. I tend to make mine thicker as I sip on them through the morning and want them to remain cold. For a more "breakfast" smoothie, you can add prepared quick oatmeal that has cooled (about 1/4th cup). This will also thicken the smoothie so you may need to add additional liquid.

Cranberry and raspberry flavors were well balanced, but the smoothie could have used a bit more sweetness.

This smoothie was a bit too thick for my taste, even after I added more liquid.

I was disappointed with this smoothie. It was very bland and didn't have much flavor. I think it needed more fruit or maybe some yogurt to give it some creaminess.

This smoothie was a bit too sweet for my taste. I think I would have preferred it with less honey or maple syrup. Otherwise, it was a good smoothie.

I love the combination of cranberries and raspberries in this smoothie. It's a great way to get a healthy dose of antioxidants. I also like that it's not too thick or too thin.

This smoothie was a hit with my family, especially the kids! They loved the bright pink color and the sweet and tangy flavor. I used frozen raspberries instead of fresh ones, and it still turned out great.
