Cran-Apple Raisin Pie image

Raisins added to the cranberry-apple filling make this pie unique. It's a nice dessert for Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. Northwestern Wisconsin is known for its bountiful cranberry harvest, so this recipe represents my area.

Overall, I thought this pie was pretty good. It's not my favorite, but I would definitely make it again if I had some extra cranberries and apples on hand.

I had some trouble getting the crust to brown evenly. I think I needed to bake it for a little longer.

This pie was a little too tart for my taste, but I think that's just because I used Granny Smith apples. Next time, I'll use a sweeter variety.

I'm not usually a fan of fruit pies, but this one changed my mind. The tartness of the cranberries and the sweetness of the apples and raisins was a perfect balance.
