Couscous Salad With Chickpeas, Dates & Cinnamon image

The richness of Saigon Cinnamon flavors this salad, created by Chef Suzanne Goin of Lucques in Los Angeles. Dates, carrots and toasted pine nuts add color and complexity to the couscous.

This salad is okay. It's not bad, but it's not amazing either. I think it needs something more to make it really special.

Not bad, but not amazing either. I found the flavor to be a bit bland and the couscous was a bit too al dente for my taste. Maybe I'll try tweaking the recipe next time.
