This is my Mother-in-law's recipe. It is so popular in our family it has taken it's place at most holiday meals. Takes 2 days. Perfect to make the night before.

Steps:
- 1. In a large saucepan, cook potatoes in boiling water until tender, drain.
- 2. Mash potatoes with butter, milk, salt and pepper until smooth
- 3. add cream cheese and onion dip, mix well.
- 4. spread in greased 2 1/2 qt. backing dish
- 5. sprinkle with paprika
- 6. cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
- 7. remove from refrigerator 30 minutes prior to baking.
- 8. Bake uncovered, @ 350 deg for 50-60 min. or until heated through.
