Steps:
- 1. In your Crock Pot place your corned beef in the bottom.
- 2. Add enough water to cover the corned beef. Add the soup base and the peppercorn seasoning packet from the corned beef package.
- 3. Let this cook for about 3 hours on high setting.
- 4. Add potatoes, carrots, more water if needed, and bay leaves on top of corned beef.
- 5. Push your cabbage wedges on to the top of veggies.
- 6. Then place your butter on top of that.
- 7. Place lid on and cook 4 or 5 more hours or until corned beef is very tender
- 8. At this point, I tore the corned beef into serving chunks. Then place on a warm setting until ready to eat. Smells wonderful!
