Time 55m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/4 c butter
1/4 c brown sugar
20 oz can fruit cocktail, juice and all
17 oz key lime preium cookie mix,(pillsbury) use dry
1/4 c chopped walnuts
2 stick margarine

Steps:

  • 1. This can be made in a 9x13-inch baking dish or in a cast iron skillet;like I did. Heat oven to 350^.
  • 2. To my skillet I added the sugar and butter over low heat ; stir until butter has melted.(For 9x13- melt together in microwave then spread evenly in bottom of baking dish)
  • 3. Empty the can of fruit cocktail ;juice and all evenly into pan. Sprinkle the dry cookie mix over the fruit. sprinkle nuts on top. Melt the remaining butter in microwave and drizzle completely over cookie mix. Bake for 45 minutes. Serve with vanilla bean ice cream. Very rich and delicious!
  • 4. NOTE: Any diced fruit or pie filling or mixture can be used. Any dry cookie mix can be used. I just happened to have this one.
  • 5. This is all that is left, so I moved it to a smaller dish. LOL
