Cookie Bread image

I just threw some ingredients together one day and came up with this. Sweet like cookies, fluffy like bread. NOTE: found the recipe card again and noted that the 1 in 1 1/2 cups of milk was scratched out. Have made it so the recipe now calls for only 1/2 cup of milk

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/2 cup milk
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 tablespoon butter
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups quick-cooking oatmeal

Steps:

  • Mix first 4 ingredients in a small bowl. Combine rest of ingredients in a medium bowl. Add milk mixture to flour mixture and mix until forms.
  • Form dough into small balls and place on cookie sheet 1 inch apart. Bake at 350F until firm, about 10-12 minutes.
