Convalescent Lemon and Honey Drink image

This is the drink that your Irish Grandmother gives you at night when you have a cold or flu. Great for sore throat, congestion, general achiness, and to help you sleep.

1/4 cup lemon juice (fresh-squeezed or concentrate)
1 teaspoon honey (or more to taste)
7 whole cloves
Irish whiskey (to taste)
3/4 cup boiling water

Steps:

  • Mix all the ingredients together, and drink at bedtime.
  • Works wonders!
