Number Of Ingredients 10

1 2lb. pkg. frozen hash brown potatoes
1 stick butter or margarine
1/2 c. finely minced onion
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 pint sour cream
1 t. salt
pepper to taste
2 c. grated sharp cheese
1 1/2 c. finely ground corn flakes
1/2 stick margarine, melted

Steps:

  • Potatoes: Thaw potatoes. Melt butter and mix with potatoes. Mix in onion, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, salt, pepper, and sharp cheese. Put in a greased large casserole or 13"x9" pan. Topping: Mix corn flakes and melted margarine. Spread over casserole. Bake at 350º for 45 - 60 minutes.

I'm not sure what went wrong, but my potatoes didn't turn out crispy at all. They were still mushy in the middle.
