COMMITTEE SALAD image

Number Of Ingredients 17

Dressing
1/2 cup oil
3 tbsp. red wine vinegar
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1 garlic clove, crushed
Salad
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 cup sunflower seeds, shelled
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1 head leaf lettuce
2 green onions, finely chopped
10 oz. can mandarin oranges, drained
1 ripe avocado, peeled and sliced
2 green onions

Steps:

  • Combine all dressing ingredients in a jar; shake to blend. Heat butter in frying pan and saute sunflower seeds and almonds until golden brown. Prepare remaining ingredients. Add cooled seeds and almonds. Toss with dressing just before serving.
