Comforting Sloppy Joes image

Growing up in a small Michigan town with a large Polish population, these sloppy joes seemed to be at every wedding, graduation, and funeral. Slightly sweet with a little tang, just like potato chips, you can't eat just one!

This was an excellent recipe! I used ground turkey instead of beef, and it turned out perfectly. My family loved it!

Made this last night. Took a couple of shortcuts - no peppers and used ketchup instead of tomato sauce but still came out great! The sweet/smoky flavor was delicious and the sandwiches were a hit with my family.
