Clifton Country Inn Crab and Corn Chowder image

The Clifton Inn was built in 1799 and eventually became the residence of Thomas Mann Randolph, US congressman, governor of Virginia and son-in-law of Thomas Jefferson. It is a stately southern manse in the heart of Virginia with gently rolling lawns that drop off into pure mountain magic.

This chowder is a bit too thick for my taste. I think I'll add some more milk or broth next time.

This chowder is delicious, but it's a bit too rich for my taste. I think I'll try using half-and-half instead of whole milk next time.

This chowder was a hit! I used fresh crab and corn from my local farmer's market and the flavor was amazing. I also added a bit of Old Bay seasoning to give it a little extra kick.
