Classic Peanut Butter Cookies image

These bad boys won me a blue ribbon in the county fair when I was a teenager. The recipe is from a 1988 Ladies' Home Journal, and they're darn tasty.

These cookies were a disaster! They spread out too much and they were burnt on the bottom.

These cookies were a bit too dry for my taste. I think I'll add a little bit more butter next time.

I'm not a huge fan of peanut butter, but these cookies were surprisingly good. They're not too sweet and the peanut butter flavor is subtle.
