Classic Margarita image

This classic margarita can be served frozen or on the rocks.

1 teaspoon coarse salt, or as needed
1 wedge lime
1 cup ice cubes
1 ½ fluid ounces tequila
1 fluid ounce triple sec
1 medium lime, juiced
1 teaspoon white sugar, or more to taste

Steps:

  • Place a small layer of salt on a small plate. Rub the rim of a glass with lime wedge, then dip the rim in salt to coat.
  • Combine ice, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and sugar in a blender; blend on the highest setting until slushy, 15 to 20 seconds. Pour into the prepared glass.
