Clabber Cake image

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/2 lb oleo
2 eggs, beaten
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups buttermilk
2 cups sugar
3 1/2 cups cake flour (3 cups all-purpose)
7 teaspoons cocoa

Steps:

  • Cream oleo and sugar.
  • Beat in eggs.
  • Sift flour with soda and cocoa.
  • Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to creamed mixture.
  • Bake in greased and floured pans at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
  • Look for"Frosting for Clabber Cake" recipe # 42168.
