4 ounces butter
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup flour
4 ounces sugar
1 tablespoon cocoa
1 tablespoon icing sugar
1/2 cup milk
1 cup dried shredded coconut

Steps:

  • Cream the butter and sugar, add egg and then the dry ingredients.
  • Put half the mixture into a flat tin and spread with a hot knife.
  • Mix the filling and spread over the cake mixture in the tin.
  • Cover with the remaining cake mixture.
  • Bake at 350°F for 20-30 minutes.
