Chocolate Coconut Pie image

This is a simple and delicious recipe for anyone who likes coconut and chocolate together. They can be made into bars by placing into an 8" or 9" square pan. It is a decadent dessert to serve company.

3 squares unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup butter or margarine
3 eggs, slightly beaten
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp vanilla
FILLING
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 2/3 cups unsweetened, desicated coconut

Steps:

  • 1. Melt chocolate and butter in microwave for 1 minute 50 seconds. Remove and stir until smooth. Microwave in 10 second increments if not completely melted. Stir in eggs, sugar, flour and vanilla. Pour into greased 9" pie pan, coating sides of pan.
  • 2. Combine coconut and condensed milk. Spoon over chocolate mixture, leaving 1/2" to 1" border around the edge of the chocolate pie crust.
  • 3. Bake in a 350F preheated oven for 30 minutes. Cool completely before serving.
