I'm allergic to oyster sauce. Is there a substitute I can use?

I was a bit disappointed with this recipe. The broccoli was tough and the sauce was bland.

I followed the recipe exactly, but my broccoli turned out a bit too crunchy. I think I'll cook it for a few minutes longer next time.
