Chili, Eating for Life image

This recipe is from the Eating for Life book by Bill Phillips. We love it. I use ground beef and turkey breast or chicken breast. If it doesn't say breast on the package it is just ground "everything" chicken or turkey. I usually have to buy the breast and grind it in my food processor myself. I make changes each time; but...

This chili was a bit too bland for my taste. I think next time I'll add more spices or maybe even a can of diced tomatoes with green chilies.

I added a can of corn to this chili and it was the perfect addition. The corn added a bit of sweetness and texture to the chili.

I'm not a big fan of beans in chili, so I omitted them from this recipe. The chili was still delicious and hearty.

I'm a vegetarian, so I made this chili with tofu instead of beef. It turned out great! The tofu was nice and firm and absorbed all the delicious flavors of the chili.

I made this chili in my slow cooker and it was perfect! I just threw all the ingredients in the pot and let it cook on low for 8 hours. The chili was so flavorful and delicious.

This chili was a bit too spicy for my taste, but my husband loved it. I think next time I'll use half the amount of chili powder.

I've been making chili for years, but this recipe is by far the best! The secret is in the spices. I love the smoky flavor that the chipotle peppers add. I'll definitely be making this again and again.

This chili was amazing! I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out perfectly. The only thing I would change is to add a little more spice. Next time, I'll add a teaspoon of cayenne pepper.
