Chili Dutch Baby image

This has been a family favorite for years! And my picky eaters love it! I like to top it with sour cream and salsa.

Number Of Ingredients 10

5 eggs
1/3 c butter
1/2 c cornmeal
3/4 c flour
1 1/4 c milk
1 can(s) chili
1 c cheddar or jack cheese
OPTIONAL
1 can(s) stewed tomatoes
1 can(s) corn, or veggie of choice

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 450 Degrees. Put butter in cast iron skillet and place in oven to melt.
  • 2. in large bowl Beat eggs with milk
  • 3. mix in cornmeal and flour
  • 4. Pour mixture into cast iron skillet
  • 5. add optional ingredients, spoon in chili
  • 6. Top with cheese and bake for 25 min.
