Chicken Pork Adobo (Philippines) image

This is a traditional food in the Philippines. Mom serves it with rice. You may also want to add hard-boiled eggs. (my mom calls it Humba) this tends to be a bit salty so careful!

I'm allergic to soy sauce, so I used coconut aminos instead. The adobo still turned out great!

I made this adobo in a slow cooker, and it turned out perfectly. The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my adobo turned out dry. The flavors were good, but the meat was overcooked.

This chicken and pork adobo was a hit with my family! The meat was tender and juicy, and the sauce was flavorful and tangy. I especially loved the addition of the bay leaves and peppercorns, which gave the dish a nice depth of flavor.
