Cheryl's Chocolate Chip Cookies image

This cookie recipe was given to me by a friend at work. When she brings these to potlucks they don't last long.

Number Of Ingredients 12

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup Crisco
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups quick-cooking oatmeal
5 ounces chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Cream butter, crisco, and sugars.
  • Add eggs and mix.
  • Add flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
  • Mix in vanilla.
  • Stir in oatmeal and chocolate chips.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 350 for 8-10 minutes or until top of cookie is just browned.
