Cheesy Potatoes image

This is my grandma's recipe that my family has nicknamed "Cheesy Potatoes." They are a staple for every holiday and always the first dish to disappear. It wouldn't be the same holiday meal without them. But I must say they are great with any meal! So creamy and cheesy...

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 32 oz bag frozen southern style hash browns (not the shredded kind)
2 can(s) cream of chicken soup
3 Tbsp diced onions
16 oz sour cream
2 c shredded cheddar cheese
FOR TOPPING
crushed cornflakes
1 stick melted butter

Steps:

  • 1. Mix all ingredients for the potatoes in a large bowl, then pour into a greased 13 x 9 pan.
  • 2. Add the crushed corn flakes to the top of the potatoes, then pour the melted butter on top of that.
  • 3. Bake at 350 for 1 hr.
