CHEESY BACON AND HOMINY CASSEROLE image

I have been wanting to do something with hominy for awhile now, so at work today while waiting for phone calls, I concocted this recipe. I think it will be very good. Please try it and tell me what you think!

1 clove garlic, minced
4 Tbsp (1/2 stick) butter
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

  • 8. Remove cover and sprinkle on the crumbled bacon, followed by 1/2 cup cheese.
  • 9. Continue baking, uncovered, for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted. Serve immediately.

Overall, I thought this casserole was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either.

This casserole was a bit too cheesy for my taste. I would have preferred a more balanced flavor profile.

I would have liked this casserole more if it had more hominy in it. The hominy flavor was overpowered by the cheese and bacon.

I found this casserole to be a bit bland. It needed more seasoning.

This casserole was so cheesy and flavorful. The bacon added a nice smoky flavor, and the hominy was a nice change from the usual corn or potatoes.
