Time 35m

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 box fudge brownie mix (1 lb 2.3 oz size)
2 eggs
2/3 c oil
1/4 c water
2 - 8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 lb canister, vanilla frosting ( such as duncan heinz )
1 tsp almond extract
1 - 21 oz can, cherry pie filling

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • 2. In a medium bowl; mix brownie mix, oil, eggs and water. I just whisk till smooth. Pour into prepared pan, and bake for 20 - 25 minutes or until pick comes out clean; 2 inches from the side of pan. Let cool on a cooling rack for at least 30 minutes.
  • 3. Now, make filling: Place cream cheese, almond extract and frosting in a bowl. Mix until smooth.
  • 4. Once brownies have cooled; spread filling evenly. Chill for a couple hours.
  • 5. Spread cherry pie filling evenly on top of the cream cheese layer. ( Sometimes I use 2 cans of filling, if I want more cherries, as theirs not a lot in one of those cans.) Cut into squares and serve. I hope you enjoy these delicious brownies!

These brownies were a bit too sweet for my taste, but they were still good. I think I would use less sugar next time.

I followed the recipe exactly, but my brownies didn't turn out as fudgy as I would have liked. They were still good, but not great.

I used dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet chocolate chips, and they turned out really well. The brownies were rich and decadent.

The brownie batter was a bit thick, so I had to add a little bit of milk to make it pourable. Other than that, the recipe was easy to follow and the brownies turned out great.
