Cheddar Apple Skewers image

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 tablespoons whole-grain mustard
1 tablespoon regular or low-carb maple syrup
4 ounces sharp Cheddar
1/2 large apple, like Gala, Macoun, or MacIntosh

Steps:

  • Whisk the maple syrup and mustard in a small bowl.
  • Cut the Cheddar into 8 cubes about 3/4-inch square. Core the apple but leave the peel, cut into 8 even pieces. Thread a piece of apple and a cheese cube onto each skewer.
  • Serve the cheese skewers with the mustard sauce for dipping.
