This is a copycat recipe of a local mexican restaurants version of chile con queso that is really, really good...

Categories     Cheese Appetizers

Number Of Ingredients 7

american cheese **not velveeta**
water
onion
celery
bell pepper
jalepeno
butter

Steps:

  • 1. This is made on a *HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT BASIS*...
  • 2. You only need to know two main things on this recipe... 1.) 3 cups of water per every 2.5 lbs of cheese. 2.) This HAS to be done in a double boiler because of the type of cheese used.
  • 3. Saute vegetables in a little butter until transparent. Melt cheese and water in the double boiler and once smooth add sauteed vegetables. YUMMY!!!

This queso is just okay. It's not bad, but it's not great either.

I'm allergic to dairy, so I can't eat this queso. I wish there was a dairy-free version.

This queso is not worth the calories. It's so rich and cheesy that it's almost too much to eat.

This queso is way too expensive. I can get a better queso at the grocery store for half the price.

I followed the recipe exactly, but my queso turned out grainy. I'm not sure what I did wrong.

I was disappointed with this queso. It was too runny and didn't have much flavor.

This queso is a little spicy for my taste, but I still enjoyed it. Next time, I'll use less jalapeƱo.

This queso is perfect for dipping chips, veggies, or even chicken strips. It's also great as a topping for tacos or nachos.

I love that this queso can be made in the slow cooker. It's so convenient and it frees up my oven for other dishes.

This queso is the best I've ever had! It's so creamy and cheesy, and it has the perfect amount of spice. I will definitely be making this again and again.
