Calico Bean Salad image

A BBQ favorite.

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 can(s) kidney beans,drained
1 can(s) wax beans,drained
1 can(s) green beans,drained
1 can(s) lima beans,drained
1 large onion, cut into thin rings
1 medium green pepper,cut in small pieces
1 c sugar
2/3 c cider vinegar
1/4 c salad oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp celery seed

Steps:

  • 1. Drain all beans and set aside.
  • 2. Cut onion and green pepper. Add to beans.
  • 3. Heat together the sugar,vinegar,oil,salt,pepper and celery seed until the sugar is melted.
  • 4. Pour mixture over the vegetables and marinate 12-36 hours
