Cake Mix Cobbler image

Very flexible, very yummy recipe! Be sure to scroll all the way down in the directions to see a couple of family favorites!

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 box yellow or white cake mix
1 stick butter
1 c water (optional)
2 (15oz) can(s) fruit or pie filling (or 1 (30oz) can)

Steps:

  • 1. Coat a moderate sized baking dish with butter and pour in fruit/filling.
  • 2. Sprinkle dry cake mix on top, evenly.
  • 3. Add water, if desired.
  • 4. Cut remaining butter into chunks and place at even intervals on top.
  • 5. Bake at 350 degrees... Baking time varies.
  • 6. Family Favorite #1: Yellow cake mix, fruit cocktail, Mt. Dew and shredded coconut to sprinkle on top.
  • 7. Family favorite #2: Chocolate cake mix, cherry pie filling and chocolate chips to sprinkle on top.
