Cajun Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo Recipe - (4.2/5) image

Provided by lindaauman

Number Of Ingredients 10

8 ounces fettuccine or your favourite pasta
1 tablespoon butter
1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tablespoon cajun seasoning
2 cloves garlic, chopped
1/4 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
1 cup heavy/whipping cream
1 cup parmigiano reggiano (parmesan), grated
1/2 tablespoon cajun seasoning or to taste
1/4 cup green onion, sliced (optional)

Steps:

  • Start cooking the pasta. Melt the butter in a pan over medium-high heat, toss the shrimp in the cajun seasoning, add to pan and cook, about 2-3 minutes per side, and set aside. Add the garlic to the pan and saute until fragrant, about a 30 seconds. Deglaze the pan with the wine, add the heavy cream, parmesan and cajun seasoning and cook until it thickens a bit, about 3-5 minutes. Toss the pasta in with the Alfredo sauce along with the shrimp and serve garnished with green onions.

This recipe was a disaster. The sauce was too thick and the shrimp was overcooked.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my dish turned out bland. Maybe I didn't use enough Cajun seasoning?

I'm not a huge fan of Alfredo sauce, but this dish was still really good. The Cajun seasoning really made it.

This dish is really rich, so it's best to serve it with a side salad or some steamed vegetables.

I didn't have any fettuccine, so I used penne instead. It still turned out great!

The shrimp was a little overcooked, but the rest of the dish was delicious.

This recipe was a bit too spicy for my taste, but I think that's because I used a little too much Cajun seasoning. Next time I'll use less.

This was an amazing dish! The flavors were incredibly rich and flavorful. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the fettuccine was cooked al dente. I will definitely be making this again!
