Butterscotch Yams image

these are some of the best yams you will ever put in your mouth they are a winner

Number Of Ingredients 7

6 medium yams or 2 (17 oz) cans
1/2 c karo syrup (dark or light) ( i use light maple syrup)
1/2 c brown sugar ( i use splenda brown sugar)
1/4 c cream, canned
2 Tbsp margarine
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon

Steps:

  • 1. arrange yams in single layer in 9x13 inch baking dish. in heavy 2 quart saucepan combine remaining ingredients. stirring constantly, bring to a boil.
  • 2. pour over yams and bake in 325 oven for 30 minutes, basting frequently.
