Steps:
- Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; beat well. Combine flour, baking powder, soda, and salt; add to creamed mixture, mixing well (batter will be stiff). Stir in the pecans and chopped butterscotch morsels. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes. Remove from cookie sheets; cool completely on wire racks. Yield: 5-6 dozen
