Yield 3 dozen

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 cup soft butter
1/4 cup powdered (confectioner's) sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups white flour
1 cup finely chopped pecans

Steps:

  • Cream together butter and powdered sugar until light, add vanilla. Add flour gradually to butter mixture. fold in nuts. With hands, make small round balls. Place on cookie sheet (you can put them fairly close together because they don't spread). Bake at 350 degrees until firm, approximately 15 minutes or until very light brown cool slightly (just enough that you don't burn your fingers when you handle them) and roll in powdered sugar.
