Butter Tarts image

I first had these at my crochet group meeting the woman that brought them in said the recipe had been in her family for years and that her mother made them for her when she was young and that this was her comfort food growing up.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 c sugar
1/4 c butter
2 eggs
1 c raisins
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
pie pastry to line tart tins

Steps:

  • 1. Cream the butter; add sugar and mix thoroughly.
  • 2. Add eggs, well beaten, raisins and vanilla mix thoroughly.
  • 3. Line tart tins with pastry. Fill with mixture.
  • 4. Bake at 375 degrees 10 to 12 minutes.
