Also called powdered sugar cookies. These are excellent! Make these at Christmas for sure! For a double recipe, I use 1 1/2 cups butter and 1/2 cup home-rendered lard.

These cookies were a disaster! They spread out too much in the oven and turned out flat and crispy. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but I won't be making them again.

These cookies were a bit too sweet for my taste, but my kids loved them. I'll probably make them again, but I'll reduce the amount of sugar next time.

I've tried many butter ball cookie recipes, but this one is by far the best. The cookies are soft and chewy on the inside, with a crispy outer shell. Perfect for any occasion!

The cookies didn't turn out as I expected. They were a bit dry and crumbly. I think I might have overmixed the dough.

Followed the recipe exactly and the cookies turned out great! I especially loved the addition of the chopped nuts, which gave them a nice crunch.
