Steps:
- Slice pears in half lengthwise and scoop out core and seeds with small melon baller. Place pears on a baking sheet, cut side up. Spoon ½ teaspoon of margarine in middle of each pear. Sprinkle brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg over pears. Place oven rack at top setting. Cook pears under the broiler until butter melts, about 5 minutes. Optional: Serve with vanilla ice cream.
