Broiled Grapefruit Halves Topped with Brown Sugar image

Just a few minutes under the broiler caramelizes the brown sugar which is a perfect compliment to the tart flavor of the grapefruit.From the book "Mad Hungry" by Lucinda Scala Quinn. (Artisan Books).

2 whole grapefruits, sliced in half
4 tablespoons brown sugar

Steps:

  • Evenly sprinkle 1 tablespoon of brown sugar on each grapefruit half and place under the broiler for 4 minutes. Serve.
