I'm not a big fan of walnuts, so I omitted them from the recipe. The sandwiches were still delicious.

These sandwiches were a bit messy to eat, but they were worth it. The flavor combination was amazing.

I had a hard time finding gorgonzola cheese at my local grocery store. I ended up using blue cheese instead, and it worked out fine.

These sandwiches were a little too sweet for my taste. I think I would have preferred a less sweet fig spread.

I added a little bit of honey to the fig spread, and it was delicious. I highly recommend trying this variation.

I used a different type of bread than the recipe called for, and it turned out great. I think this recipe is very versatile.

I'm not usually a fan of gorgonzola, but it worked surprisingly well in this recipe. The sweetness of the figs balanced out the sharpness of the cheese perfectly.
