Having extra Fuji apples on hand started me on baking this wonderful sweet tart bread. You start the recipe in the bread machine,then finish it by hand and oven. I tweaked it and added my sons delishes Homemade Blackberry Jelly for the glaze on the sauted cooked apples. It turned out really pretty...even with my left hand in a...

Steps:
- 1. Gather baking ingredients, and use your bread machine directions, dough mode and press start.Time on my machine was 1-1/2 hours. When the buzzer sounds, remove dough, you may have to add some more flour, and place in a greased bowl. Cover with wrap and let sit 20-30 minutes.Wait. Use a rolling pin to roll the dough to a 8x8 size. Then place dough in greased baking dish or baking sheet. Spray with water and put in a slow oven to rise for 20-30 minutes. Remove from oven. Then brush top with melted butter.
- 2. Peel,and core apples and cut into 1/4 inch slices. Foto:3...Cook apples with the sugar and lemon juice,on low stirring lightly till they begin to soften up. Place sweet cooked apples which has been on a plate to drain and cool. Put on the top of crust. Sprinkle with raisins, and brush the tops with melted jelly Bake in a oven 400F. Till top starts to lightly brown. Then turn oven down to 350F and bake 20-25 more minutes. See picture. Foto #2=Cooking pared and sliced apples with and added lemon juice and sugar. - 4. Original recipe is from my Seiko bread machine cookbook. All but one foto are mine. When I was taken it out of the oven...with my left hand in brace...I dropped it ...upside down on the kitchen floor!!! I had to throw it all out.....I did not think you would want to see the mess on the floor!!...LOL. When will I learn! I was supposed to be very careful ... using my left hand! The cooked foto is from the cookbook. FOTO;#4 ..My puppy snoozing.. and did not hear it drop on the floor! Moral: THOSE... THAT SNOOSE...LOOSE!....tee hee
