Brandied Appetizer Sausages image

When our kids are home for the holidays, we serve an array of appetizers instead of a big meal. I use both wieners and smokies in this small-plate favorite. -Sue Gronholz, Beaver Dam, WI

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 cups ketchup
1/2 cup brandy
1/2 cup honey
1 small onion, chopped
4 packages (14 ounces each) miniature hot dogs or smoked sausages

Steps:

  • In a 6-qt. stockpot, mix ketchup, brandy, honey and onion; stir in hot dogs. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, until hot dogs are heated through, 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
