Bow Tie Pasta Salad image

This is a great salad to serve during the summertime heat- very little cooking and you can make it the night before. You can add in or take out any veggies you like.. you can even change the dressing. So sit back and relax with a cold drink and a nice cool salad!

Number Of Ingredients 9

8 oz pkg. bow tie pasta or your favorite
14 oz can mixed vegetables, drained
16 oz can garbanzo beans
1/4 c sliced black olives
1/4 c chopped red onion
1/2 c grape tomatoes, cut in 1/2
1/2 c roasted red pepper italian salad dressing
3 Tbsp grated or shredded parmesan cheese
1/4 c bacon, cooked crispy crumbled, optional

Steps:

  • 1. Cook pasta al dente, about 8 minutes in boiling water. Drain, rinse in cold water and drain well.
  • 2. In a medium bowl add pasta and vegetables and remaining ingredients, except cheese and bacon;toss to coat. Cover and chill for 1 hour or best overnight, to blend flavors. When ready to serve sprinkle cheese and bacon on top.
  • 3. Note: Any leftover Cooked chicken, tuna, pepperoni, ham, rib meat or other protein may be added ,if desired. Also fresh cooked vegetables (blanched) be used in place of the canned.
